In My Life to Play B'way's Music Box Theatre in October

In My Life, a new musical written by songwriter Joe Brooks best known for writing the Oscar-winning song "You Light Up My Life", will open at the Music Box Theatre in October, according to a production spokesperson. Exact dates for the production have yet to be set.

Set in New York City, In My Life centers on a singer/songwriter who falls in love with a woman who works for The Village Voice. Brooks wrote the score and book for the show and will also direct it.

The Music Box was recently vacated by Dame Edna: Back With a Vengeance. The theater will soon host a limited engagement of Primo, starring Antony Sher, which is scheduled to run from July 8 through August 7.
